How do I check my gas bottle level?
The level of LPG in a full gas bottle is actually just over three-quarters of the height of the gas bottle. This allows the LPG gas to expand and contract during different weather conditions.
You cannot tell how much gas is in a gas bottle by either shaking or tapping it. These methods can damage your gas bottle.
The hot water test.
To check the level of LPG in a gas bottle you can use the hot water test. Pour hot water down the side of the gas bottle, after a few moments, run your hand down the bottle. The gas bottle will feel cool to the touch at the level of the LPG gas.
